::We rented for the day on a cruise stop. We walked to Star Car rental from the ship, maybe 20 min. The office opened late but other than that it was a great experience. Because it was Saturday we were not required to purchase the Tonga driver's license. The car was in great shape and we were given a ride back to the ship in the afternoon. You do need Tongan money, not credit cards, to buy gas!! Driving is on the left side of the road - light traffic. Beware if using google maps to navigate, some of the "roads" are really like farm paths with high grass in the middle.
